Live-Action, R-Rated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Movie Coming!

Exciting news for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fans! Paramount Pictures is developing a live-action, R-rated feature film based on the popular IDW comic series "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin," as reported by The Hollywood Reporter. This project is set to be produced by former head of DC films Walter Hamada through his 18Hz production company as part of a multi-year deal with Paramount Pictures.

Tyler Burton Smith, co-writer of the upcoming action movie "Boy Kills World," has been chosen to pen the script for this bold new installment in the franchise. The film is set in a dystopian future New York City and follows the last surviving turtle on a mission of revenge. This marks a significant shift for the franchise as it ventures into R-rated territory, promising a darker and more intense take on the beloved characters.
